Finding peace and safety within yourself. A guest Blog by The Organic HomeWhere do you feel Safe?
Where do you feel safe? Is it at home, is it when you are with others, when you are alone or when you are in bed? And what is the feeling of safety?

Safety is when I perceive no threat, when my imagined or actual security are not threatened... It is quite easy to recognise when my actual safety is threatened, by hostility or pressure, but the internal sense of safety is far more subtle and possible more elusive.

As, an inner sense of safety depends upon an imagination that perceives no threat, and a lack of inner safety is that which is reliant upon a (very often) non-existent threat.

We call these inner fears anxiety or worry and these are potentially the most damaging experiences we can have. The mechanics of anxiety are when the mind isolates and magnifies an event that has not yet occurred, and this distortion tends to create an inner feedback loop that it is often impossible to break.

As the mind spirals inwards, the physical functions of the body also have a tendency to reverse in flow, so our internal systems of digestion and breathing will distort, and the muscles will tense and slowly lock....

Safety lies beneath the physical, and dwells within the mind, closely allied to inner peace, and this can be manifest, at any time by taking action... By changing the way we are thinking... A matter of abandoning the present thought pattern and shifting to a calming thought process... This can take 15 or 20 minutes, to reverse the direction and flow, rather like turning round a large ship that has a momentum to be slowed down to be turned.

But, it is merely a process, and a process that does work. Anxiety, worry and fear can cease within 20 minutes, and safety and peace will be found.

I can guarantee this will work, and you will have found peace, a sense of safety and a respite from fear.
