Oriole9 ..lovely organic restaurant in Woodstock, NYIf you want fresh, organic and delicious food for breakfast. lunch or dinner you must try Oriole9 Restaurant tucked away on Tinker Street in downtown Woodstock, NY
The owners, Pierre-Luc Moeys and Nina Paturel met in Amsterdam, Holland and decided to move back to the Hudson Valley, where Nina is from, to start something of their own.

Nina's history started in Woodstock, New York where her parents, Marylou and Bernard Paturel ran a little place called the Cafe Espresso in the sixties. Bob Dylan and Joan Baez were among the many people that played music, drank coffee, played chess and enjoyed long summer nights on the patio. Although Nina was just a baby, she's always dreamed of following a bit in her parents' footsteps.

Pierre-Luc is a French and classic Italian trained chef who has worked with many master chefs including Raymond Blanc and Robert Krananborg all throughout Europe. Together they've combined their skills and love of food into their restaurant. The menu is tasteful, mindful, fresh and creative but still simple with something for everyone. Oriole9 are big supporters of slow food. This year we're proud to introduce Oriole9 Farm at School! We have partnered with the Woodstock Day School and have begun a farm on school grounds, which will provide a live lab for students and fresh, organic vegetables for our restaurant. Be sure to check out our blackboard with all of our daily farm specials!

Michael Bernardo is a 2001 graduate of the Culinary Institute of America. His culinary career includes experience in many of the finest restaurants in the Mid Hudson Valley. He has focused on the preparation of progressive American fusion cuisine. By creating partnerships with local farmers and purveyors organic goods Michael is constantly developing cuisine that can be considered truly indigenous to the Hudson Valley.

I had the pleasure of dining at Oriole9 for lunch today and found the atmosphere and the food both pleasing and delicious. The freshness of the food was evident in each bite. I especially enjoyed the fact that the food was homegrown and loved the idea of the fresh food going from farm to table. Everyone should try this restaurant if up in the Catskills or take a drive up to enjoy the freshness of this beautiful and organic setting.. I will surely be back. Jill lovepeaceyoga.com
